about
This track was written during the winter of 2018 in Winona, MN as an ode to the youth.
I recorded this song in Rock Island, IL with the owner of Future Apple Tree 2 Studio, Patrick Stolley. I can't thank Pat enough for his expertise and care for the art of songwriting and recording. He brought this track to a new level. I first visited the Quad Cities area in 2016 with my Fiancé Leah. We filmed the music video for our first single California At Dawn on that trip. It was a pleasure to visit again, this time with a song to lay down. My bandmate Andy Bauer drove down with me where we hung with Pat and other Quad Cities characters at Rozz Tox and at Future Apple Tree 2. I hope you have as much fun listening to this song as we had making it. Peace to you all. - Nick
lyrics
Girl, giving it all away for nothing, whats left in your heart
Back, home to your parents for the weekend, high with your fake friends
I don't want to feel this comedown, I just want to fade
I don't want to feel this comedown, I just want to fade
Back, in your heart, it's real, somehow
Back, in your heart, it's real, somehow
